Meet Tash: Drakes Branded Boutique Manager

Meet Tash, Drakes, Plymouth Floor Manager of our Branded Boutique and our very own Swarovski Princess! Having worked in Drakes for a number of years, we thought it was about time you got to know a little bit more about her.
How long have you worked in the jewellery industry?
It’ll be 9 years in December! I’ve always been part of Drakes Group, starting in the Swarovski Plymouth shop and then moving to the temporary Drakes store in 2014. I then moved to Drakes permanently when we opened on the upper floor of Drake Circus in December 2014.
What do you like about working on the branded side of Drakes?
The Bling! Other than that I also love all of the different products that come in and the fact that there is something for everyone on the branded side. We have subtle pieces as well as some with a bit more sparkle.
What is your favourite brand in store right now?
Definitely Swarovski! There is such a wide collection of products, I love pretty much everything!
What are your favourite pieces in store at the moment?
Swarovski’s Crystalline Hours Watch– I love the new Swarovski watches, my favourite is the Crystalline Hours Watch. We have a white and black version in store and the black is definitely my favourite. I love the rose gold on it. It’s definitely on my Drakes wish list.
Annie Haak Cosmic Star Rose Gold Bracelet in Midnight Blue- This bracelet beautifully dainty and I love the way the rose gold and midnight blue complement each other.
Drakes Bespoke Range- Our Bespoke range is so special, people can have their own designs made and the collection we have in store is all made in house making it different from anything else.
What is your top tip to helping someone find the perfect gift at Drakes?
Tell us a bit about who you are buying for. We have so many pieces in store that there is definitely something for everyone! One of the first questions I ask is whether they are into their sparkles or prefer something a little more subtle. Once I know this I know exactly what to show you!
What do you get up to in your spare time?
I love a Disney day, I think everyone in store knows how much I love Disney movies and a good musical. Another thing I like to do is go back to my old school and sing with my old music tutor. It’s something I haven’t done for a while but used to really enjoy, so I’m trying to organise to go back.
What do you love most about Plymouth?
Being by the sea. I love that there are so many places you can enjoy the beautiful sea views in Plymouth.
Tell us something we didn’t know about you.
When I was 18 I played Madam Thénardier in Les Misérables. I love musicals, singing and acting.
